I looked up what COL means in french, but all I got was “collar”. Is a “col” a peak or a hilltop? What does “Col” mean in French?

Thank you very much. I was surfing around and got so much info in a shellnut, Longshell. Yet realised the most practical of such info found in your article. 700c x 23mm is the answer. And for comfort I can go up as much as (700×25 or 700×28) the features of my bike allows. (B’Twin Triban 500 which allows as fas as I know up to 30mm)

Thanks
